(5609) Stroncone = 1993 FU. Discovered 1993 March 22 by A. Vagnozzi at Stroncone. Named for the suburb where the Santa Lucia observatory is based. The name Stroncone is thought to come from the Greek 'astronicos', from 'astron' (star) and 'icons' (image), so it is a very appropriate name for the site of an astronomical observatory. (M 23353)
