Così chiamato in onore di Giulio Briccialdi (1818-1881). Flautista e compositore, divenne un famoso concertista all'età di 15 anni. Insegnò a Milano e a Vienna e tenne concerti in Europa e America. Inventò un particolare tipo di flauto e creò la scala musicale per esso.
